Have you heard of the Highland Games? The traditional Scottish competition is rich with history (and is pretty fun to watch!) The 2019 Highland Games wrap up September 21st, and they’ve inspired us to take a look at Scottish design. From grand castles to moody cabins on the moors – we’ve found some great interior design inspiration straight from Scotland.

Scottish design has come a long way since the construction of lofty castles in the Highlands. Scotland’s First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon, has brought a standing exhibition of artwork from Scottish designers into her office. The works range from contemporary to whimsically useful – check out the rake-fired ceramic vase!
