Installation:
Slight variations in caliber and color are hallmarks of handmade glass. Check this before installation.
In order to properly install glass pieces, spread out an even layer of white multipurpose thin set mortar over the surface on which the glass will be installed. Multipurpose is recommended as long as it is suitable for glass. Use a flat trowel that does not leave furrows to apply the adhesive. Smooth with flat part of trowel. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions. Once an even layer of thin set mortar has been spread out on 100% of the surface, begin to bond the pieces by applying a small amount of pressure on them in order to eliminate any voids or bubbles between pieces and the wall. If you notice that some area is not covered with adhesive, more should be applied—caution: only use hand applied pressure.
As you install the mosaic sheets, leave a small separating joint between the sheets equal to the grout joint between the mosaics. Grout with the color of your choice. In the event some piece requires cutting, use a diamond blade. Holes can be drilled using a bit for glass at a low speed.
Note: Harmony Collection’s Winterfrost and Igneous come mounted to a clear tape. Install tape side up. Let dry for 24 hours, remove tape and then grout. When in doubt and for more specifics, refer to TCNA (Tile Council of North America) The Industry’s guide for Installation Practices.
Cleaning:
To clean, we recommend the use of glass cleaner or neutral soap and subsequent drying with a clean, soft cloth. Improper handling will cause scratching and chipping. The use of detergents and abrasives (cleaning powder) may cause irreversible damage to pieces. Should you have any
doubts, get in touch with the manufacturer of the cleaning product.
Culture brick pieces with a matte finish: do not stain the front part with adhesive or grout during installation. It is recommended that marble restoration or polishing treatment be applied once a year.
Instalación:
La variaciones leves en el calibre y el color son sellos del vidrio hecho a mano. Verifique esto antes de la instalación.
Installar apropiadamente pedazos de vidro, aplicar de manera uniforme una capa de mortero fijo blanco en la parte que sera instalada. Multiuso es recomendable siempre y cuando sea conveniente. Utilize un desplantador plano que no deja surcos para aplicar el adhesivo. Suavice con la parte plana del desplantador. Siga las instrucciones de los fabricantes. Una vez que una capa constante de mortero fijo ha sido esparcida en 100% de la superficie, comenzar a enlazar pedazos aplicando una pequeña presión sobre ellos para eliminar vacios y burbujas entre la pieza y la pared. Si nota que algunas partes no están cubiertas con adhesivo, mas adhesivo tiene que ser aplicado - precaución - solo aplicar presión de mano.
Cuando al instalar las hojas de mosaico, dejar una pequeña coyuntura de separación entre las hojas. Igual a la separación de coyuntura entre los mosaicos, los pedazos deberán ser lechados con el color de sus elección. En el acontecimiento que algunos pedazos requieran corte, usar una lámina de diamante.
Puedes taladrar agujeros en el vidrio con una broca para vidrio en velocidad baja.
Nota: Los colores Winder Frost y Igneous son montados en una pelicula incolor. Installe la pieza con el la pelicula hacia arriba. Deje secar por 24 horas, remueva la pelicula y entonces aplique el mortero. Limpieza:
Para limpiar, recomendamos el uso de limpiador para vidrio o jabón neutro. Secado subsecuente con una paño suave. El manejo impropio será causa de rasguños y astillas. El uso de detergentes abrasivos (limpiador en polvo) será causa de daño irreversible al vidrio. Para cualqueir duda, contactar al fabricante de producto.
Los pedazos de ladrillo “culture” con acabado mate: no manchar la parte frontal con adhesivo ni lechada durante la instalación. Restauración de marmol o tratamiento de pulido es recomendado una vez por año.
