2. From Military to Mansion

This military film studio, which once housed the set for training videos and research films, is now home to actor Jared Leto. Sporting a gorgeous outdoor pool and an expansive art gallery, this military site turned mansion is a sight to see.

3. Re-purposing and Cherishing History

This vintage-filled Belfast apartment was once part of a military hospital, Image

4. Made for Television

Step onto Tyler Perry’s 300-acre production studio, Architectural Digest

It’s interesting to see how many former military sites are being refurbished into homes and even film sets! Producer and actor, Tyler Perry, purchased the former Fort McPherson military base in Atlanta and converted it into tons of sets including a faux White House, lakeside cabin, and a commercial jet.

5. Building into History

A Cantilevered Bainbridge Island Home Set atop a Historic Bunker Lists for $1.73M, dwell

Rather than scrap the historic military bunker this home was built on, Eggleston Farkas Architects incorporated it into the design of the new building. With stunning coastal mountain views and rich wooden interior décor, this space really makes use of its roots!
