Rockville, Maryland (October 14, 2021) - Today, Architessa, a Woman-Owned leading provider of hard surfaces, announces the addition of two executive positions: Kersi Press becomes the Executive Vice President, and Monica Meade returns as Vice President of Strategic Accounts and Commercial Development.
Kersi Press was promoted from the Baltimore, MD Territory Manager to Executive Vice President after fourteen dedicated years at Architessa. Having served on the advisory board for several years, he will continue to manage the Baltimore region offices and staff while supporting the executive team alongside CEO Betty Sullivan and President David Benson. Press's new role cements his place as a contributor shaping Architessa's future.
Press started his career as an architect at Baltimore's then-largest and most prestigious firm, CSD Architects. Entering the tile industry was Press's way of honoring and staying involved in built environments, having a hand in hundreds of projects at a time. With astute design sensibilities and vital tile knowledge, Press continues to be invaluable to his clients and coworkers. Ultimately, Press's love for people keeps him engaged, and this passion for strong relationships has helped establish a burgeoning commercial business while advancing Architessa's growth plan.
Monica Meade, Architessa's new Vice President of Strategic Accounts and Commercial Development, once served Architessa as National Accounts Manager for Hospitality, and her new role will expand on her previous one. Meade's focus is to work directly with owners of National brands in hospitality, multifamily, retail, and healthcare to create programs that better support their development pipelines. These programs will provide cost savings and support while prioritizing budgets and schedules.
Meade graduated from George Washington University with a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design. Since then, her distinguished career reflects years of intense involvement in hospitality design and development. Beginning at Marriott International as an interior designer, Meade developed their Senior Living Program and then moved on to the International Design Team. She joined Architessa in 2008, where she created and grew the Hospitality program and returned to Marriott as Senior Interior Design Manager. Meade returns to Architessa with established relationships and extensive knowledge in the commercial construction arena. She continues to pursue her passion for giving back to the design community through associations like NEWH, now serving as Vice President of Development for the International Board of Directors.
"We are excited for the future with Kersi Press and Monica Meade at Architessa. They bring a tighter focus on client needs, planning, and business development. They are excellent resources for our employees and clients," says CEO Betty Sullivan.
Founded in 1985, Architectural Ceramics, Inc., now trading as Architessa, is a national leader serving our clients with the largest selection of domestically and globally sourced tile and flooring materials to create elevated spaces that evoke emotion.
