Some glass mosaic sheets are sold paper-faced. That means the front of the tile is covered by paper, and must be installed with the paper facing outwards. Always read the instructions located in each box of the tile before installation. Never put the thinset on paper to install as this will result in a backward installation with the back of the tile showing.
